Dominik Wodarz obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology at Imperial College London, and received a PhD in Zoology from the University of Oxford. He spent his postdoctoral years as a member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. Before joining UCSD, he held faculty positions at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle and the University of California Irvine.

Samrat received his BSc in Physics from Sripat Singh College, Kalyani University. He then did his MSc-PhD degree in Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. During his Phd, Samrat worked on a variety of problems in mathematical biology and eco-evolutionary dynamics, particularly investigating mechanisms that mitigate the tragedy of the commons within a population. Starting January 2025, Samrat will continue his work in mathematical biology as a postdoctoral scholar at UCSD.

I received my BSc and MSc in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Toronto before starting my PhD at UCSD. My interests include bridging the gap between theory and experimental work, applying insights from evolutionary rescue theory to minimize drug resistance, and understanding mutant evolution in spatial contexts, from biofilms to metapopulations in CLL patients.

Ramanarayanan received his BS-MS from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, majoring in Physics. During internships he has worked on projects related to mathematical oncology and cancer evolution at the Indian Institute of Science and the City University, London. In his Phd studies at UCSD, he is continuing his research on mathematical models of carcinogenesis, cancer evolution, and cancer therapy.

Abhinav is interested in mathematical models of biological and evolutionary processes and is currently working on a computational model describing the dynamical interactions between tissue / tumor cells and their microenvironment.
